When closing images, the loading indicator would sometimes appear unnecessarily or incorrectly. Fixed a few issues with the layout of items in the toolbar in the most compact size in Split View. When changing the size of apps in Split View and having the Photos browser open, albums could be selected incorrectly. Pixelmator Photo could sometimes quit unexpectedly in certain beta versions of iOS Edit an entire photoshoot on your iPad — with just a few taps. Turn off Export to batch edit images in place in your Photos library and the Files app. Pixelmator Photo now automatically saves changes directly to the images you open and saves nondestructive edits to a linked.

Fixed issues with using the Pixelmator Photo Share extension to share from apps other than Photos. Sometimes, alerts would not be shown after importing an adjustment preset. Pixelmator Photo files will now have file previews in the Files app and other locations. You can now change the order of your custom batch editing workflows.

When batch editing, the View and Cancel buttons will now be more responsive. If you swipe down the batch editing view while images are being processed, the batch editing workflow will be canceled. A new Pixelmator Photo album will not be created in your Photos library if one already exists. The points in the Curves adjustment will no longer jump to the location you touch when you start dragging.

The size of the Curves adjustment points has been reduced slightly. The previous position of the batch editing view will be restored when reopening it. In Pixelmator Photo settings, you can now choose whether to display your albums in a flat list or with nested folders.

After redefining a color adjustment preset, its thumbnail will be updated. When editing an image in your Photos library, if you revert all changes and tap Done, instead of Modify Original, you’ll now see a Revert to Original alert.

Before full images are loaded, placeholder thumbnails in the Photos browser will have the correct aspect ratio whenever possible. If you tap Done but choose not to allow Pixelmator Photo to edit the original photo, edits will be discarded.

After restoring Pixelmator Photo from the background, the canvas would be black for a short moment. If it is not possible to load the full-size image in the Photo Stream, a very small one will be shown instead of an error.

Photos synced automatically from the macOS Photos app would not be loaded correctly. An empty black rectangle would be shown when a higher-quality image in the Photos browser could not be loaded.

If access to Photos was turned off, Pixelmator Photo would be opened with a completely empty view. It would sometimes not be possible to save changes to images in the From My Mac album.

In certain cases, tapping the ML Enhance button would do nothing at all. Pixelmator Photo would sometimes quit unexpectedly when opening RAW images. When using Pixelmator Photo, TrueTone displays will no longer change the color temperature of the screen as much. When attempting to save to Photos after previously denying access, the alert will be more informative.

When attempting to open an unsupported RAW image, the alert will be more informative. To make it easier to repair areas at the edges of photos, you can now start repairing slightly outside the bounds of the canvas. The keyboard will now be dismissed with any touches not related to text field editing. The preset thumbnails of cropped images were being displayed incorrectly. Grain was being incorrectly displayed in preset thumbnails. Thumbnails would sometimes flicker before adjustment presets were reloaded.

On rare occasions, multiple presets could be selected at the same time. It was sometimes impossible to add points to an edited curve of the Curves adjustment. After device rotation, the canvas would center incorrectly.

After rotating the image using the Crop tool, the canvas would center incorrectly. The canvas would sometimes be incorrectly vertically centered when editing in fullscreen. When using the color picker, the Previous color was not being displayed. The color picker history also found in Pixelmator for iOS which can be accessed by swiping the Current and Previous colors to the right was not appearing. A whole host of things could go slightly wrong if the image was moved while the Straighten or Perspective wheels were still decelerating.

Attempting to repair areas near the edges of the iPad screen would sometimes start panning the image. Fixed a possible issue for repaired areas in images with perspective transformations. Resetting changes with the Repair tool and redoing those changes would sometimes leave the Reset button enabled. Rapidly tapping the tool buttons in the toolbar could potentially cause Pixelmator Photo to quit unexpectedly.

Disabling an adjustment while a text field is actively being edited and the keyboard is visible would cause Pixelmator Photo to quit unexpectedly. Improved memory management for issues caused by opening photos that need close to the maximum memory allocated by iOS. This fixes a number of related crashes. Events and People albums synced from macOS via iTunes will now appear in the photo browser. Modify Original in Photos should now work even after deleting and reinstalling Pixelmator Photo.
